The Content Designer role within the Online Service Delivery (OSD) team that is part of Government Service Programme Delivery (GSPD) will work across multi-client accounts predominantly with local and central government clients and their partners. The Content Designer meets user needs and make complex language and processes accessible and easy to understand. The Content Designer coordinates the day-to-day activities associated with publishing and maintaining web content. This is a fixed term contract position.

Job Description:

The Content Designer will be able to work at ease in an agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and priorities and will strive to deliver continual improvements to client websites.

They will be comfortable capturing and documenting requirements and translate these into customer focussed solutions. Content produced will be easy to understand, compliant with corporate standards and aligned to a user need.

They will work closely with clients and build excellent relationships at every level. This role requires someone who is able to work with a variety of technology. The Content Designer will likely need to learn how to use a variety of website content management systems and therefore a confidence and familiarity with IT systems (particularly web technologies) and procedures to undertake website content projects is a key requirement.

The Content Designer is home-based role and may require travel to various locations to meet business requirements as directed by the Manager. The hub team where other team members are based is West Sussex.
