About the role

The role of a Pricing Manager is a key role responsible for delivering pricing expertise, analysis, and insight. Working across the Consumer Revenue division, this role is accountable for supporting the development of the pricing strategy, competitor pricing analysis, new pricing models as well as recommending day to day trading pricing across VMO2 Mobile including the handset, airtime, out of bundle charging, and other value-added services.

 

This role reports to the role Head of Pricing within the Commercial Revenue team. The Commercial Revenue team is responsible for leading the O2 UK Consumer P&L, with accountability for all Consumer plans, pricing, promotion, and commercial activities to deliver the key P&L physical, financial and NPS targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing pricing analysis and recommendations for future tariff builds to ensure flexibility and optionality
  • Develop recommendations for tactical price changes to support the achievement of near-term P&L objectives to support the commercial teams across VMO2 Mobile
  • Support the head of pricing in developing the future pricing strategy and models to reflect best practice and to maximise strategic value from pricing
  • Provide pricing expertise across acquisition, retention and in life initiatives to optimise P&L value
  • Work with the head of pricing to lead on the preparation of the annual and quarterly budgeting and planning process for consumer with pricing analysis
  • Develop recommendations for Pricing Forum and Consumer Board
  • Lead on the execution of price changes into the channel
  • Provide pricing expertise to the AO2 programme
  • Ensure any pricing recommendations comply with the regulatory framework (e.g., Owner of SOX control around approved pricing changes)
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer behaviour in relation to price across a variety of industries, sharing insights across the team and business
  • Utilise key market insights across different industries to help the head of pricing to shape the pricing strategy. Utilise pricing trends to influence and steer opportunities to drive continuous improvement through data led decision making
