ENGIE Impact provides  integrated solutions combining management and strategy, technology and engineering, digital, financing, and implementation capabilities to help our clients accelerate their transformation across all decarbonization levers.

To support the expansion of ENGIE Impact in the EMEAI region and bring high standard of consulting services to ENGIE Impact’s clients we are looking for new colleagues in our regional offices in Belgium (Brussels), UK (London), France (Paris), and Germany.

Consultant

As a Consultant, you are part of a transversal team of Consultants and Analysts and are involved in decarbonization projects accross various expertises, sectors and clients.  

You will work on internal and external engagements along side ENGIE Impact’s Sustainability Solutions team of professionals and across all sectors to help accelerate decarbonization. You actively participate to the reputation of ENGIE Impact by your personal involvement in the projects.  

Your role must be performed in full compliance with the ENGIE Impact’s standards in terms of Quality / Safety / Legal / Ethics.

 

More particularly you will :

 

Perform ad-hoc research, develop quantified models and present outcomes in front of clients

  • Contribute to build point of view based on knowledge and/or research
  • Develop quantified models to provide insights to address client’s pains
  • Produce high-quality project deliverables including convincing storyline, powerful executive summary
  • Present results in a convincing way and develop associated slides/documents

 

Support content development, asset creation, and business development efforts

  • Follow industry trends on relevant topics through research
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities within your project, share insights with managers to make a commercial offer, contribute to proposals
  • Contribute to building awareness of ENGIE Impact’s knowledge and capabilities via forums, white papers, round tables, etc.

 

Support analysts and trainees helping them to grow and to develop skills

  • Demonstrate self-initiative in one’s development, coach trainees & analysts
  • Seek ways to share knowledge to accelerate the onboarding and knowledge of others

 

Grow up in consulting competencies to become a project manager

  • Demonstrate willingness to be exposed to project management topics
  • Learn and accelerate your personal development

Background and Experience

  • You have a master’s degree from a high-ranked Business or Engineering School
  • You are passionate about environmental issues, have a good understanding of the main trends around carbon and climate change and are eager to develop and share your knowledge in low carbon solutions
  • You have 3+ years of professional experience working in projects related to energy and carbon topics
  • Nice to have:  Specific experience in performing data driven technical and economical analysis of energy systems, particularly around applications such as energy efficiency, green energy sourcing, industrial energy processes
  • Nice to have: Specific experience with target / ambition setting (e.g. science based targets) and carbon management (e.g. carbon accounting standards, Scope 3 measurement)
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of one of the following sectors: Energy intensive industries, Food and Consumers, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Transport & Logistics

 

Communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

  • You demonstrate strong advisory skills: analytical mindset to identify client issues, creativity to lay out a set of assumptions to build adapted solutions, capacity to translate strategy vision into concrete actions.
  • You are a team player and are recognized for your interpersonal skills and your ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment
  • You can work autonomously, execute project related tasks effectively, and contribute to frame and structure the work of more junior colleagues
  • You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and can synthetize complex topics in a simple manner to effectively engage clients

 

Software Proficiency

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Nice to have: experience in carrying out quantitative techno-economic assessments with simulation models, especially within the energy sphere

 

Languages

  • You are fully proficient in English both written and spoken.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of a language of one of our local offices (Dutch, German, French)
