Job Description

The Consultant Relations and New Sales Project Manager is responsible for providing the execution and support for various strategic and tactical initiatives for the new sales consultant relations and sales organization. In this role, this person will provide project management support for key initiatives to execute the consultant relations strategy, oversee day-to-day functions & communication, and provide direct support for assigned consultant firms working closely with the consultant relations director(s). This is a highly cross-functional role and the person will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization including: Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, Account Management, Bid Strategy & Execution, etc.

Project Management Support: Support for the CR Team (VP, CRDs and SrD of Strategy)

  • Responsible for maintaining Salesforce (participate on SF agile calls for future enhancements, run monthly reports for consultant activity)
  • Support coordination, content management, and rollout of new platforms (i.e., Highspot, Consultant Portal)
  • Support Pricing Roadmap project management initiatives ongoing with underwriting, specialty, pricing governance and other cross-functional partners
  • Assist SrD of Strategy on broader Consultant Relations strategy initiatives (i.e., annual consultant survey)
  • Overall project management support of annual review framework
  • (When hosting events resumes) Work with VP/SrD of Strategy on event strategy – serve as key point of contact for the SrD of strategy/sales director during the event development and execution (i.e., Leaders, Outcomes, Unite)
  • Oversee support management of event, including: distribution list management, maintain all calendar holds for internal and external participants for event and prep meetings, partner with Marketing on developing communications/corresponding materials (agenda, presentations, talking points, run of show, surveys, etc.), partner with the Events team on overall logistics (date, time, location, accommodations, activities), provide post-event follow-up project management support, provide onsite and ad-hoc support for other event-specific requests

Day-to-Day Functions & Communications:

  • Manage weekly consultant relations meeting agenda including coordinating meeting topics and presenters on various topics of interest 
  • Complete routine monthly reports sent to select consultant firms
  • Maintain Consultant Relations Field Solution Portal (FSP) and other consultant support tools
  • Liaison to Data Analytics team to ensure consultant reporting reflects relevant consultant status, maintenance of Consultant Dashboard
  • Maintain general consultant contact list
  • Manage routine webinar series and all coordination from securing dates to final thank you
  • Manage development and execution of periodic consultant newsletter
  • Maintain consultant communication pipeline and ensure Consultant Relations Directors are knowledgeable of new and/or changes in communications
  • Oversee coordination of consultant communications, including: pipeline, internal alignment, testing, final approvals, SAM Comm inserts, etc
  • Represent Consultant Relations in various weekly or bi-weekly cross-functional communications meeting with Product, Marketing and Communication internal partners
  • Manage SAM Comm communications project management on a weekly basis
  • Serve as point of contact for submitting/drafting Consultant Relations SAM Comms and assisting internal partners with consultant related specific details for various SAM Comms as needed

Direct Support for Assigned Consultant Firms:

  • Assist Consultant Relations Director with routine meeting management, notes distribution, etc., as it relates to select consultant firms
  • Complete routine monthly reports to external recipients as needed
  • Coordinate annual review presentation based on global strategy defined
  • Maintain Elite and VIP consultant accounts and contacts in Salesforce (including distribution list management)
  • Work closely with Consultant Relations Director to execute overall specific consultant strategy as needs arise

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or 11 to 14 years of experience.

5-8 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. 

Experience with software applications such as Access, Excel or other PC based database tools. 

Excellent communication and customer service skills, (i.e., presentation and written, listening, phone).  

Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required.  

Effective communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.  

This role is Flex/WFH which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

Ability to plan for and integrate multiple tasks concurrently as well as work independently with minimal direction.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
