What you’ll achieve
As a Business Operations Consultant you will analyze and define business needs and assist in developing appropriate solutions for our engineering organization. This position will focus on identifying the organization's technological, functional, and business strengths, establishing data systems that leverage and capitalize on the knowledge of team members, and finding ways to use that knowledge to improve business processes. The position will also need to formulate and define scope and objectives based on a thorough understanding of business needs and business processes that support engineering. Additionally, you will need to understand the business implications of solutions and assist in defining the solutions to support any future business and engineering requirements.

You will:

• Work with both engineering and business users to define and analyze problems
• Consider the implications of business solutions to the current and future environment
• Interface with business and engineering areas to provide solutions and tools to build and strengthen business processes
• Identify the business opportunities to deliver value through Knowledge Management at program and business unit levels
• Develop and maintain business relationships with senior level business and engineering leaders
• Ensure improvements in operations are implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
• Regularly act as the lead on projects
• Possess and consistently apply knowledge in multiple functional areas
• Serve as a consulting resource for a functional area

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience in professional role or 8+ years with a Master’s degree or 5+ years with a PhD or equivalent experience
• Experience directly supporting senior engineering executives with planning related to staffing, budget, facilities, and other operational processes/issues
• Advanced knowledge of Knowledge management applications and tools
• Facilitation skills within large groups.
• Experience with project management methodologies; Agile preferred
• Proven project management knowledge and experience and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business

Desirable Requirements

• Software Engineering background preferred
