Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. The Schedule Management Group creates, implements, and drives schedule execution review, governance and compliance to improve to improve Data Center Construction predictability across our global build portfolio.  We utilize tools such as Master Schedules, Risk Framework, Quality Checklists and Schedule Health Scorecards, and are hands-on with the PMs in the field, and with the General Contractor with our tools and analysis.  This results in Schedule Predictability driving overall delivery efficiencies.

The Construction Scheduler will support the EMEA Scheduling Lead.  You will support metro level and project level schedule analytics, compliance and audits.  You will be responsible for management and analysis of construction schedules and milestones at the project and program level. This includes collecting data, developing & managing processes, and defining & maintaining reporting. The goal is to assist schedule predictability by determining current project status, data validation and clean up, and supporting the overarching schedule processes, development and standardization.

Responsibilities

The Construction Scheduler is expected to manage the following items:

  • Support the Regional Scheduling and PM Lead
  • Interface with other stakeholder teams and with Redmond-based hub
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Review schedules weekly and monthly for each project
    • Provide feedback on all schedules
    • Work with site PMs to educate and provide insight
    • Feed data for Risks Assessments

Note: This position can be located in EMEA or AMER but must be willing to work flexible hours to cover both time zones a few hours each day.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Experience evaluating construction project schedules from a GC or owner’s perspective
  • Ability to travel to construction sites when necessary to assist in coaching construction PMs and GC on proper scheduling techniques
  • Familiarity with Risk Schedule Analysis

Preferred:

  • Ability to analyze construction schedule data and provide deep insights into trends, issues, mitigations
  • Deep knowledge of P6, MS Project, other schedule health analysis tools
  • Strong familiarity with CPM scheduling methodology
  • Good verbal, written communication skills
  • Ability to present data from a detailed to high-level depending on audience
  • Expert consultant in delay claim, time impact analysis and CTD schedules
  • Experience with Data Center construction programs

These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
