Job description

Compliance and Value Manager is a new role that reports to the Deputy Director of Capital Investment and there will be an initial need to spend time setting the objectives and overall focus for the team reporting to this post. The Compliance and Value Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are ready for all gateways and compliant with Statutory and IHSE process. He or she will be required to respond to lessons learned to seek improvement from our project teams and to ensure value through all phases of the design, procurement, and delivery of our portfolio of projects. The Compliance and Value Manager will be responsible for engaging within the Estate’s matrix style organisation, working effectively with project delivery teams, Project and Portfolio Directors, IHSE PMO and Procurement teams to ensure alignment with central requirements and readiness for all IHSE Governance process.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual with a Membership of a relevant professional body (APM, RICS) or relevant experience of delivering quality within large programmes or portfolios.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate your:

Ability to lead in a matrix environment, using judgement and influence to bring about improved performance across projects and programmes that are line managed through different roles.

Excellent People and Stakeholder Management, with experience of establishing high performing teams through developing ability and creating an inclusive and collaborative culture which values diversity and encourages openness, approachability, and sensitivity.

Experience of developing and creating systems and processes that are proven to enhance performance either from a quality, time or cost perspective.

Demonstrable experience of managing KPIs, monitoring performance, addressing poor performance and ensuring achievement of project objectives and outcomes.

The ability to make effective decisions or difficult decisions – evaluating data from various sources to make well considered decisions and presenting reasonable conclusions to inform and/or influence Stakeholders.
