Work you’ll do 

Are you energized by helping organizations develop their community-based programs and efforts to improve health? This role would have you working with multiple grant recipients to provide data informed technical assistance throughout their grant lifecycle. This would include leading interactions with grant partners focused on identifying priority initiatives, and working with technical data teams to propose analysis to inform those priorities. This would also include translating analysis findings into actionable reports, presenting to grant partners, and providing ongoing technical assistance and capacity building around their data needs.

Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) practice – our people, ideas, technology and outcomes—is designed for impact. The GPS Strategy offering leads strategic planning & portfolio management and reporting & monitoring workstreams. This includes day-to-day client interaction and leads to the creation of relevant resources and materials (such as strategic plans, roadmaps, etc.) and work products (such as development of performance metrics, tracking dashboards, etc.) in order to successfully implement client vision.

The project consists of a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, strategists, and public health practitioners

Qualifications 

Required: 

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance 
• 2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• 2+ years of experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
• 2+ years of experience with community/public health organizations – state, local, non-profit, etc
• Must know how to read data in the forms of charts, tables, percentages, etc. and derive insights from them related to customer priorities
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
• Ability to manage communications to multiple organizations with different priorities and working styles
• Ability to use data to tell a story and present information in a digestible format
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred: 

• Experience providing technical assistance to multiple grant recipients
• Previous experiences taking analysis insights and crafting into a focused presentation
• Previous hands-on experience with presenting deliverables to focus groups and large groups
• Ability to conduct basic analysis in excel or coding programs like R or Python
• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
• Experience working independently with minimal guidance
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment
