Role Summary
Develop relationships with Home Owners Associations (HOAs), Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) and community managers, civic groups and other community associations and organizations. As needed, prepare and present documented updates and structured presentations outlining upgrade schedules and providing overviews of future upgrade-related products and services. Create a favorable working relationship with the HOAs and other community organizations to ensure successful access by construction, sales and marketing team to upgrade network, promote and sell services that may or may not have access restrictions.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Proactively reach out to MDU’s, HOA’s, and other represented communities to introduce the Network Transformation activity and explain impact to property and residents prior to, during and after all NT activities.
Represent the company in external public and private meetings to effectively communicate project timelines, goals, impacts and outcomes.
Support the project managers and project teams in communicating problem/issue resolution with external parties and individual residents as needed
Coordinate with Marketing, Public/Government Affairs and other departments as appropriate on customer notification process to ensure compliance with both federal and local government level regulatory guidelines, as well as to ensure timely and regular customer communication on activities that impact customers’ services and/or their property.
Meet with permitting, engineering and other departments within the Cities/Towns, HOA’S and Private Property Managers with Cox’s internal permitting and construction team to discuss permitting for NT activities and address other issues prior to work commencing in their municipality.
Coordinate the development and on-going distribution of geographically specific communications materials that provide impacted parties with the latest upgrade-related scheduling information and promote related future services with HOA’S.
Working directly with the NT2.0 Teams, and using various communication tools, provide Cox functional groups and employees with periodically scheduled upgrade status reports as well as other information regarding scheduled product or service launches or releases.
Provide face to face communications and briefings to impacted departments and on project status and other project-related topics as appropriate.
Prepare and maintain care center information for appropriate dissemination on upgrade activities or other major product or service releases/launches.
Effectively represent the NT Outside Plant Construction (OSPC) team as required.
Continuously develop skills and abilities with OSPC community outreach and events and conflict resolution in order to excel in current and future career challenges.
Develop appropriate accountability work form documentation to track progress of outreach, contacts, follow up, etc
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum
Two or more years of experience required in related fields (i.e., municipal permitting, construction, joint use or government affairs, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout the community and the organization
Dynamic and articulate individual, able to use persuasion and negotiation in a presentation setting
Strong technical aptitude
Strong people and relationship management skills
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Computer skills including Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook)
Must have a clean driving record (for systems that use corporate cars) and be able to travel to customer locations within the system
Preferred
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Government and/or Public Affairs)
Experience in the telecommunications industry desired
Commercial Real Estate experience
Legal background preferred
2+ Experience in Government
Familiarity with regulatory affairs for Commercial Real Estate properties
Ability to effectively communicate with cities, counties, pole owners
