Job Description

The Role

To support the delivery of the communication strategy, providing concise yet inspirational communication to stores including two-way communications between key support centre function and retail i.e BMD

Use effective methods to ensure store teams receive clear, simple communications and that the New Look group benefit from improved engagement through enhanced technologies and practices.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• To deliver clear, concise and easy to assimilate information and explicit actions to store and Group as requested.

• Ensure all communication are aligned across departments and the communications relay a consistent message with no need for follow-up clarification.

• Liaise with key departments to ensure the Retail communications team is aware of all their needs and help them to achieve Retail’s timelines and clarity.

• Generate content as required to assist understanding and execution of all activity.

• Manage content and publishing deadlines to deliver a consistent agreed communication stream.

• Help identify common themes or issues regarding communication and provide solutions to improve.

• Help maintain clear communication channels from the Store Teams to the Support Centre, to ensure the voice of the Store Teams and Customer is fedback and considered to help support business decisions

• Help manage the internal communication system network and advise of potential issues and opportunities to improve.

Technical and Behavioural Skills

• Strong IT skills - confident in all Microsoft Office programmes (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex and adapt style as required.

• High emotional intelligence, able to challenge and accept challenge professionally.

• Customer focussed (both internal and external).

• High attention to detail and proofing skills.

• To act with pace - the ability to be reactive and meet strict deadlines.

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle changing priorities in a face paced environment.

• Passionate about Retail and a strong advocate of being the voice for stores.
