We are looking for a talented and creative Communications Specialist to join our team. This role will be a critical member of our external communications team, with the opportunity to focus on both media relations and social media. This role will partner with our Director of Product Communications to drive programs across our corporate and product portfolio with both traditional and innovative communication vehicles. You will also work closely with our social media lead to measure and create compelling social media content that influences how BMC shows up externally.Â

What you get to do:
•Partner to help execute PR programs and drive awareness for the BMC portfolio (launches, events, media management, and rolling thunder campaigns)Â
•Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers at both traditional and non-traditional outlets
•Work globally and cross functionally to help execute communication campaigns
•Create highly engaging copy for social, with impactful images, to support company campaigns and programsÂ
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute social media marketing plans across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.Â
•Engage key external thought leaders and subject matter experts to create and curate high-quality social media content
•Monitor social media traffic and engage online audiences as appropriate
•Reporting and measurement of programs using Adobe, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, and Sprinklr
Background Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or equivalentÂ
•1-3+ years of communications experience – PR or social media experience preferred
•Business-to-business technology PR experience a plus
•Experience managing media relationships and a network of media contacts
•Experience helping execute press tours, events, and media interviews
•Strong writing skills
•Familiarity with social media management tools such as Sprinklr, etc.
•Knowledge of BMC, tech industry, and/or B2B enterprise software and/or hardware
