Government & Public Services Delivery Excellence Communications Consultant

The team 

The Government & Public Services (GPS) Delivery Excellence (DE) team is currently seeking a full-time dedicated Communications Consultant. This resource will support the GPS Delivery Excellence organization in the artistic design, development, and distribution of concise executive communications and eye-catching content that highlights multifaceted DE strategic initiatives and special projects across the enterprise. Must have the ability to understand and illustrate complex requirements with an eye for visual aids.

Work you’ll do

As a Communications Consultant within our Delivery Excellence team you will: 

• Provide a full range of strategic communication support by driving communications and deliverables—i.e, briefings, memos, polished Word documents and PowerPoint presentations
• Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the team
• Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize content
• Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work processes and innovative approaches to creating visualizations that appeal to intended audiences

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in communications or a related discipline
• 3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, data visualization tools, as well as Internet research tools
• Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to appeal to various audiences (technical and non-technical)

Preferred:

• Prior professional services or government consulting experience
• Knowledge of color theory, typography, and layout design
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• Basic to advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS
