1st and 2nd line engineer responsible for implementation and maintenance of Integrated Communications and Control Systems, both on-site and remotely.  Supporting Field Service Engineering teams.

Job Description:

What you will be doing:

The Communications Support Engineer Level 1 role comprises the following requirements:

  • To provide a Triage function for all DS3000 incidents logged by customer

  • To deal with Incidents or Problems that have been passed to CSS Department.

  • To install new technical or software requirements as defined by customers, (otherwise understood as planned changes or Variation Orders).

  • To follow procedures in line with company policy (i.e. Local Procedures or ISO20000-1 defined processes) and suggest and follow-up improvements in line with CSIP.

  • To provide technical support to 1st line Field Engineers.

  • To provide technical support to users.

  • To provide technical support to external customer engineering staff.

What we're looking for:

  • PC/Server Support experience (hardware and software)

  • Problem solving and diagnostic skills, including remote investigation and diagnostics.

  • Practical experience in TCP/IP network support including routers, switches and firewalls

  • MS Windows 7- 10 & Windows Server 2008 to 2016 knowledge, Active Directory skills

  • Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V/VMware)

  • Working knowledge of VOIP/SIP

  • Customer service/Customer facing experience

  • Must be able to work well as part of a team

  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal

  • Must hold a full UK drivers’ licence

  • Eligible for Security Clearance
