JOB DESCRIPTION

• Managing the sourcing process of Group-branded clothing and accessories to deliver an elevated group-brand product strategy at the most competitive costs, on-time and in a sustainable way
• Initiating and participating in reviews, in-line with the Design/Sourcing Calendar
• Ensuring that the correct lines are being designed/updated
• Chasing up tech packs from designers in-line with the Design/Sourcing Calendar
• Reviewing designs/tech packs with the product development team
• Documenting the required specification, quality and usage, ready for future analysis
• Managing the sourcing offices to ensure best cost is achieved for required specification and quality
• Proposing the best solution to the RFQ, including costs/duty rates, sample quality, factory reliability, lead time and container mixing
• Participating in the Buyers Review
• Ensuring that the sourcing offices and factories are processing orders in-line with their critical path
• Working with the Product Developers and Product Compliance Manager to ensure quality standards are being met
• Challenging whether we can improve the environmental credentials of product, packaging and factory

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a similar role essential
• Cantonese/Mandarin language skills are advantageous
• Desire to “own” allocated Budget Groups and drive their commercial success
• Commercially aware to be able to prioritise workload and deliver the most benefit for the business
• A fearless attitude to change, suggesting and driving improvements to current processes
• Basic understanding of textiles, garment or product construction with a good sense of production routine and quality control
• Confident and clear communication skills to work alongside other teams and external suppliers.
