Commercial Sales Coordinator - Quincy, IL
ADM Animal Nutrition

This is a full-time, salaried position
Reports to:  Manager, Administrative Services
 
Purpose:
Coordinate efforts with sales, production, trucking, warehouse, inventory management, formulation and quality assurance to meet customer needs and expectations.
 
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 
 

  • Customer service, to include: order taking, order entry and processing; handling initial customer complaints; handle product returns, credit and debit memos; provide product and pricing information as requested, ability to detail products as required; order follow-up; delivery schedules; product shortages; pricing changes; monitor accounts receivable; generate reports for customer history and product sales information; communicate market trends and supply issues; supply MSDS forms, spec sheets, product tags and labels as necessary; investigate and resolve all shipping, pricing and order entry errors.
  • Key contact for sales team to execute, facilitate, research, and organize sales needs and requests.
  • Facilitating the Formulations Department on communicating changes to existing formulas and setting up new formulas for new and existing customers as requested by sales and customer base. 
  • Work closely with production facilities to coordinate production, logistics, availability and communicate as necessary to customer, sales, etc.
  • Monitor customer orders to help predict market trends and communicate that information to purchasing, pricing, and sales.  Run reports to maintain understanding of order patterns and report to Sales and Purchasing.
  • On occasion, travel with sales reps and account managers to assigned accounts to reiterate the importance of strong customer relationships. Attend industry and customer functions as needed to gain further market awareness.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Agriculture or Ag-related field preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, detail, and follow-up skills
  • Strong computer skills, preferably with exposure to Microsoft Office products (Oracle highly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and participate and contribute to a team environment
  • Superior problem-solving capabilities.   

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Extensive keyboard and computer operations
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Communications by phone for extended periods of time

Overnight travel occasionally required.

Relocation is available with this position.
