Job Title: Wholesale IoT - Commercial Manager

What do the team do?

The Wholesale IoT team caters for a growing and complex business-need/market, delivering data connectivity to a diverse portfolio of existing and new wholesale/reseller partners.

 

How will you fit into this?

 

You will own the commercial and contractual performance and account relationship for a portfolio of existing/new partners.

 

You will be involved in developing and executing our wholesale strategy for the IoT connectivity market. Your/our objective is to drive a true wholesale relationship, both commercially and operationally, between VMO2 and our partners.  

 

You will build and manage a highly effective and engaged virtual team from key departments across VMO2 (incl. commercial finance, legal, strategy, product, technical and service to name a few) - making us easier to do business with, whilst delivering the P&Ls business objectives and budget/3YP.

 

Some of the more specific responsibilities:

 

  • Commercial and contractual negotiation of wholesale agreements, with existing and new partners.
  • Effective use of data/insight/performance based analysis to drive decision making –
  • Commercial optimisation of in-life agreements – performance management.
  • Commercial assessment of new business opportunities
  • Strategic development – commercial/operational change management.
  • Deliver budget (e.g. £Revenue and £CC), as a minimum.
  • Contract management, ensuring VMO2 and our partners adhere to our legal and governance framework.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships at C-level, across all our key partners.
  • Responsible for our working relationship with internal teams critical to our success (e.g. commercial finance, legal) - building strong internal relationships/buy-in to support our P&L performance and partners.
  • Deliver regular updates to internal stakeholders including Director of Wholesale Mobile

 

What we need from you:

 

Required -

  • Excellent commercial acumen with demonstrated experience/success in negotiation/performance/change management.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication – able to communicate and gain buy-in with C-level stakeholders, internally and with partners (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills).
  • Experience in building/maintaining/executing a strategy.
  • Proven experience in using data/insight to drive transformational change.

Desired -

  • Experience in a Wholesale setting – particularly in a Reseller/Distributor/ISP setting.
  • Experience of Relationship management.
  • Experience in adhering to legal and contractual governance processes.
  • Experience in making the complex, simple.
