ABOUT THE JOB:
- Group Purchasing Overheads is a complex area with more than 20 overseas employing entities because we have employees based around the globe. You will be:
- Partnering with the: Purchasing HR team to manage our headcount and spend; Senior Leadership Team on their costs; and Group Overheads team on timely and accurate reporting
- Embedding our consolidated Overheads model, looking for process improvements to make it as efficient as possible and improve control
- Implementing monthly Overheads reporting for each of the Directors
- Lead the planning, budgeting and forecasting requirements; identify/manage risks and opportunities on hitting our budget
- In addition to managing the division’s Overheads, you will lead on specific areas of the Commercial Finance function’s deliverables with a focus on financial control. This may include but not limited to:
- Guarantee shortfall reporting and forecasting
- Become our department expert on IFRS 16 and track implications for hotel contracts
- Developing reporting on hotel contributions
- Supporting our change project(s)
- Produce insightful reports/presentations for senior managers such as weekly/monthly status updates, monthly and half-yearly review packs with commentary and analysis to aid business decisions.
- You will manage ad-hoc projects for the Head of Commercial Finance or the Group Purchasing function as required.
ABOUT YOU:
- A qualified accountant with proven years of PQE and specifically experience of supporting/partnering senior commercial teams
- Confidence to ask questions and challenge numbers
- Ability to influence and build relationships at senior manager/director level
- Experience of leading teams (especially through periods of change) is highly advantageous
- Strong ability in numerical reasoning / analysis with good knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and SAP an advantage
- Experience of liaising and negotiating internally with various Source Markets and Musement entities
- Networking and relationship building in an international environment
- Role will require some international travel from time to time
