The role of the Cocoa Field Research Manager is to develop and communicate global cocoa crop forecasts to global buyers, line manage 3 cocoa field team leaders, and drive the team’s data analytics strategy.

This role’s key responsibilities enable business units to achieve a competitive advantage in price and supply risk management for the largest raw material spend within Mars Wrigley. On the analytical side of the role, this person is responsible for cocoa field data management and forecast analysis, driving our team’s data analytics strategy with new techniques and tools. On the people side of the role, this person is responsible for directly line managing 3 associates and communicating cocoa analysis and forecasts to global sourcing managers and senior stakeholders.
The role will consist of quantitative analysis and forecasting using statistical models. Data inputs will be collected and managed by this associate's direct reports. This associate will need to work closely with cocoa origin teams to compile Insights and data. Analysis and forecasts will be communicated to Sr. Cocoa Sourcing managers and Directors, as well as Sr. Leaders on occasion.
Within the broader research team this associate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in data analytics and methodologies.
