JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview:

Operate machines to fabricate parts, tools, fixtures, and gauges. Maintain both manual and CNC equipment, detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools. Participate in design and communicate with co-workers regarding timelines and improvement opportunities. Maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

•Perform typical machine shop operations.

•Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.

•Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

•Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.

•Perform inspection of machined products (including documentation of results).

•Trouble shoot minor equipment issues

•Perform basic job set up

•Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.

•Assist engineers with process improvement activities

•Assist in other work areas, including but not limited to, perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting.

•May perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

•High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

•Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

•Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 85 pounds or heavier

•Must be able to obtain a tow motor license and operate in a safe manner

•Must be proficient in working with process sheets
