CNC Lathe / Mill Setup and Operator - 2nd Shift

Attwood Corporation, a Brunswick Company, is the world’s leading manufacturer of marine accessories for the boating industry, including a wide range of seating, hardware, fuel systems, navigational lighting, pumps, trolling motors and other electro-mechanical components.

We currently have an opportunity at our St Paul Park, MN facility for a highly motivated CNC Lathe / Mill Setup and Operator to work on 2nd shift who will perform daily changeovers of all lathe/mill equipment, set up new jobs including programming, troubleshooting, and assisting in fixture design (Haas, Mazak & Mori Seiki).

Note: This will be a 4 day (M-Th) 10 hour shift position from 3 pm - 1:30 am

Responsibilities for this position will include:
• Setting up and operating CNC machines
• Performing daily changeovers of all lathe/mill equipment to run different products. Changeovers include: setting of fixturing, zeroing of machine and tooling, and tool selection
• Creation of 1st piece sample including all inspections and verifications
• On-going product inspections and machine adjustments
• New product program development and troubleshooting of existing programs

Requirements for this classification may include, but is not limited to:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certificate in Tooling & Mfg Technology or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in set-up of CNC equipment including G&M Code is required, 2+ years is preferred
• Haas experience preferred
• Knowledge of CNC tooling applications
• Experience with precision measurement devices (i.e. calipers, indicators, height gauges)
• Ability to read Blue Prints
• Strong communication skills
• Broad understanding of Materials, Machining and Tooling Processes and technologies
