COMMODITIY MANAGEMENT SERVICES (CMS) SETTLEMENT LEAD - Decatur, IL
This is an exempt position.
       The Commodity Management Services Team (CMS) is a part of Global Business Services and is responsible for providing timely and accurate Purchase and Sales settlements for commodity contracts for Ag Services & Oilseeds, Carbohydrate Solutions and ADM Transportation in North America.  The team executes transactional settlement activities for commodities received by truck, rail and barge by ADM elevators or export sites and commodities shipped via truck, rail, barge, container and vessel from ADM terminals and plants.     
                                                                                                                  

Job Requirements:

• +/- 3 years of ADM experience in commodities or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of grain industry and settlement processes                                                              

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field, preferred
• Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize and follow up on action items or escalations         
• Continuous process improvement mindset
• Ability to document an end-to-end process (process flow mapping), identify waste and areas of improvement, and execute/implement changes in order to standardize, simplify, and make the process more efficient
• Ability to function in a challenging environment with multiple changing and competing priorities          
• Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines
• Experience with or knowledge of systems used by ADM, including Microsoft Office, AGRIS, JDE and IBM                                                

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with team to drive the CMS strategy as defined by the CMS Leadership Team
• Oversee daily settlement activities as assigned and ensure team delivers accurate and timely settlements to meet expected service level
• Ensure that deadlines and customer expectations are met
• Maintain a strong desire to help others in a professional manner             
• Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and commercial colleagues   
• Review end-to-end processes and help to identify and implement changes in order to standardize, simplify, and make the process more efficient  

• Recommend, develop and implement process and system improvements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls                                                                             
• Develop knowledge of and responsibility for departmental compliance with internal key financial controls and Federal and State grain regulations and trade rules
• Assist in the onboarding of new work into NA Global Business Services for CMS
