Job Purpose and Impact

As aCloud Security Engineer, you willleverageyourdevelopmentandsecurity experience to mitigate risk and enable security controls for both cloud and on-premises environments using innovativeengineeringsolutions. In this role,you will create security controls as codeanddeployworking prototypes and production solutions to reduce risk in Cargill’s cloud environments. You willusedevelopment languages and automated pipeline technologies to create solutions that helpCargilldevelop,deployand operate applications securely.Our team currently uses Terraform, Golang, andcloudservice providersincludingAmazon Web Services (AWS), Azure,andOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Key Accountabilities

• Writehigh-quality testable codethat enablesrisk mitigationand improved security.

• Understand and leverage various automatedCI/CDpipeline technologies to deliver tested and secure code.

• Partner with other teams and businesses on security engineering, providing a secure hosting environmenttoenable their success.

• Apply engineering skills to help eliminate operational issues to improveoperationsand minimize after-hours support.

• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Confirmed ability to promote an engineering culture with a focus on integrating security into thedevelopment and operationalprocesses.
• Cloud networking experience includingsetup and configuration of VPC’s, routing, security groups, etc.
• Understanding of application security architecture and frameworks
• Experience with software lifecycle technologies enabling multi developer teams such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, IDEs, etc.
• Familiar with the Agilemethodology.
• Minimum of four years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry security and cloud certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Solution Architect,etc.
• Experienceas a subject matter authority for one or more security technologies and frameworks and how they support an overall security program.
• Working knowledgeof application security architecture andsecurityframeworks such as NIST, CIS, etc.
• Experiencewithone or more security technologies and how they support an overall security program.
