Cloud Security Architect
Due to the nature of this role successful applicant must be able to obtain UK SC level vetting.
Develop a robust security architecture for cloud-based services used in the Business Unit. Working alongside Head of Security to provide subject matter expertise in cloud security requirements. Coordinate and maintain the delivery of a cloud security architecture liaising with internal functions and DevOps teams.
What you’ll be doing: As a member of the Security Team, you will:
Be responsible for cloud security architecture across the cloud based services used in the BU.
Liaise with internal functions to develop cloud security requirements.
Understand legislative and regulatory requirements that need to be adhered t for UK and international contracts.
Create and maintain High and Low level security architecture designs.
Represent security in architectural meetings.
Work alongside and support Head of Security in SME for the BU.
Own and coordinate security packages of work ensuring requirements are fed into schedule.
Be part of DevSecOps team.
Provide SME for architecture decisions, be able to put forward arguments for decisions and understand risk in context of the BU objectives.
Provide additional BAU security support for the products.
Support the Security team in presentations and technical queries.
Assist in certification and accreditation requirements for the BU and products.
Act as part of the team feeding into the BU 27001 accreditation and specific security accreditations required.
Adhere to BU policies and standards in security
Write new SyOps and policies for related activities.
What we’re looking for:
Strong knowledge of formal security architecture frameworks.
Excellent understanding of Cloud security technologies and best practice architectures.
Awareness of industry best practices (such as OWASP and NCSC Guidance);
Internal audit qualifications and/or experience;
Excellent relationship and stakeholder management;
Commercial awareness;
Experience in report writing, delivering presentations and developing dashboards / reports;
Experience in preparing and delivering reports highlighting risks for senior management;
Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills;
Ability to analyse current business practices and identify areas of risk or improvement;
Technical knowledge of information systems, infrastructure and network;
One or more of - CEH / ISSAP / CCSP / CSTAR / CISSP / CISM qualification;
Ability to achieve an enhanced level of security vetting and screening.
Desirable
Specific experience delivering in Azure environments.
Managing ISO 27001 certifications and external audits;
HMG Accreditation and Codes of Connection
International security requirements (CJIS, NIST..)
Knowledge of Public and Private Sector security requirements;
Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level, including Director / Senior Management level;
Relevant regulatory / industry qualifications, and desire to develop skills;
Experience in operating vulnerability identification and automated testing tools;
Inner working knowledge of Dev Ops and Dev Sec Ops;
Data Privacy experience and / or qualification.
Environment
You will occasionally be required to travel to Capita and client sites;
You will be required to support functions and Business Units across the business, in order to provide support and mitigation of key risks / issues.
