The Cloud Engineer will work with the Senior Cloud Engineer in the planning, development, design, evaluation (from both technical and financial perspectives), monitoring, and deployment of both new and existing cloud infrastructure that will align with organizational strategies and direction.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Architecture teams and other technical stakeholders in the design, testing, integration, and implementation of cloud-based solutions under the supervision of the Senior Cloud Engineer.
• Deployment of IaaS\PaaS\SaaS solutions in diverse cloud environments (Azure\AWS\GCP).
• Creation and curation of Terraform templates, deployment configuration files and scripts
• Develop, deploy, and maintain container orchestration solutions (AKS\EKS\Kubernetes).
• Familiar with Continuous Integration and Delivery processes.

Support
• Contribute to the support and maintenance of a highly stable and responsive cloud infrastructure.
• Work with security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure meets organizational security requirements.
• Assist Cloud Engineer with cost estimation, capacity planning and tracking.
• Work with the KFC NOC team to troubleshoot and resolve issues within published SLA’s.
• Assist with the administration and operation of platforms, tools, and services.
• Supports development and testing of software solutions and database components implemented within cloud environments.
• Contributes to testing of infrastructure components utilizing pipelines and established DevOps practices.

Monitoring
• Identify and implement solutions to provide monitoring, logging, and transactional availability.
• Improve the availability and scalability of services through automation of continuous delivery, monitoring, and alerting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:
• Education/Certifications – BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience; Certifications in Microsoft or other Cloud Services
• Experience
o Years of Experience – 2+ years in Information Technology
o Experience setting up Cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
o Working with secure certificates for authenticated connections.
o Working with a cloud solution that automatically scales.
o Understanding of Linux and Windows based operating systems.
o Development of automation scripts and processes.
o Experience working with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform/ARM/Cloud Formation)

Skills:
o Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Powershell.
o Working knowledge of DNS and TCP/IP networking
o Working knowledge of IAM solutions. Experience with SSO solution providers is a bonus.
o Basic understanding of container technologies.
o Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
o Basic project management skills.
o Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery tools.
o Working knowledge of application architectures.

Bonus Skills and Experience:
o Work experience in an environment that has adopted DevOps.
o Previous experience transitioning solutions to a cloud environment.
o Container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, AKS, Docker Swarm.
o Basic understanding of Edge and Headless Compute architectures.
