A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Petmedics, based at their RCVS accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital in Manchester, for a Clinical Director to join the team.

The Petmedics Group consist of a large state of the art 24-hour veterinary hospital, a recently refurbished first opinion practice and a consulting site. Staffed by a truly superb cert-led clinical team of 32 veterinary surgeons, dedicated diploma holding nurse-led RVN team, patient care assistants and dedicated receptions, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients. Our facilities include - 4 theatres, 12 consulting rooms, intensive care unit, digital X-ray, 16-slice CT scanner, high end ultrasound scanner, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house laboratory.

The ideal candidate would be:

  • Required to perform the duties of a practicing vet working to high clinical standards, leading by example and be an excellent communicator, ensuring the smooth working relationships between internal teams, management and other group practices.
  • Highly motivated and organised, with a keen interest in personal and practice development.
  • Applications from Certificate holders are welcome.

We are looking for someone who works to excellent clinical standards, is enthusiastic and passionate about veterinary medicine and will drive the practice forward both clinically and commercially. You will be an excellent communicator that can dynamically lead a clinical team, whilst being instrumental in strategically planning, facilitating and delivering regulatory compliance.

Your role will include promoting best practice and client care, line management of a clinical team, setting and implementing practice budgets, create and maintain a positive image and outlook within our teams and to the outer community, recruitment and retention (with the help and support with colleagues within our Group).

You will be supported by an experienced management team and there are ample opportunities for management training, as well as a CPD allowance to help you to further your clinical development.
