This exciting position is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and engaging Client Relationship/Account Manager who is currently, or has recently worked in a Pensions/Benefits focused industry and can showcase a successful track-record in developing strong client and adviser relationships within this field.

A bit about the job:

Within Aviva’s Workplace Saving and Retirement division (WS&R), we now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Client Relationship Manager. In this role the chosen post-holder will be aligned to a panel of WS&R scheme clients and will be accountable for developing these key client relationships and subsequent executive strategies, to ensure that they protect and grow Aviva’s client portfolio/profitability, within our WS&R division.

The successful post-holder will be home based; however national travel will be expected of the chosen post-holder (circa 25% face to face meetings) – therefore you must be willing to travel nationally regularly in this role.

You will develop and manage effective relationships with clients (and their professional advisers) - up to, and including, senior board level.  Building and executing strategies to retain and grow profitability from Aviva’s existing portfolio of corporate pension schemes is paramount.

You will also support the acquisition of new business and strategic deals by providing the necessary Relationship Management expertise and act as an advocate for Aviva’s thought leadership initiatives and promote cross-team collaboration.  Also key is being able to leverage and capitalise on Aviva’s composite capability through new business referrals to Group Protection, Healthcare and General Insurance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Possess proven consultative sales skills (both direct to consumer and through intermediaries) with a track record of delivering against sales targets

  • Strong technical knowledge in pensions legislation

  • Agility to engage/influence/network a broad spectrum of people within virtually any client situation

  • Proficient at engaging with the business leaders and key decision makers of large and very complex corporate clients – often multinational, FTSE companies

  • Deliver successful growth initiatives and campaigns, converting sales referrals into business

What will you get for this role?

  • Salary circa £55,000 - £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
