Job Description
Main Responsibilites:
- Ensure close alignment with growth platform leaders and coordination with the overall regional growth platform team with regards to strategy and business plans including campaigns and market development opportunities.
- Partnering with functional teams including sales, technical and marketing to execute strategy in national and regional account customers.
- Be responsible for market share growth, ensuring new business leads and their high conversion rate, while guaranteeing revenue, and profitability. Supporting the Sales team in negotiating contracts.
- Understand and provide technical in-depth information of products and the product value proposition to the Sales team and support initial sales activity with the goal of meeting short and long-term targets.
- Analyzing the current national and regional accounts, determine which are most suitable to incorporate into new product offerings, communicate and guarantee the execution of these needs with the commercial team.
- Recommending specialty “value-added†solutions to national and regional account customers, including effective introduction of new products, technologies, and processes, to strengthen obtain new business in support of segment growth targets and account plans.
- Championing introductions of new technologies/products to meet business objectives. Navigating complexity of diverse markets to generate value for the customer and the company.
- Developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of the market and the competitive environment to facilitate business development efforts. Pro-actively providing market and competitive intelligence to appropriate sales, marketing, product management and technical personnel.
- In conjunction with our Sales Teams, initiate technology-based discussions with customers, primarily with the R&D, technology and marketing groups to establish projects with target customers, leading to sales of assigned products.
- Networking at trade shows and other technical venues to build knowledge and identify new prospects.
- Monitoring performance and benchmarking best practices to drive continuous improvement
Required Skills and abilities:
- Experience within the Ingredients industry in a Sales, Marketing or Technical positions are preferred.
- Excellent team player and collaborator while operating independently on initiatives.
- Able to both drive and support major programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator.
- Shares knowledge and expertise to progress both country / regional as well as wider business goals.
