Please review the following job description:

To provide Senior level claims service. Claims account service, confirm coverage and accurately report new claims arising within specifically assigned accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Claims Account Service:

  • Receive and manage mail and request from clients, producers and carriers on new and existing claims.
  • Assist CSR’s in resolution of complex claims and coverage issues arising with their assigned accounts.
  • Participate in special projects at Claim Manager’s request.
  • Prepare claim reports and attend Claims meetings with Producers and MAE’s.

2. Administrative:

  • Manage the preparation and completion of all documents pertaining to accounts assigned. This includes ACORD forms correspondence, claim reports and other miscellaneous transactions.
  • Assist in training and progression of all CSR’s. Mentor with Team Support and assist Claims Manger in the procedural training of new employees.
  • Assist Claims Manger in the review of litigated files generated by other claims representatives.
  • Assist Claim Manger in administrative projects as needed.


Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Maintain Insurance License
2. Enroll in and complete CE classes each year
3. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
4. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
5. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
