We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a CIO Front Office Analyst, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

The CIO Front Office Analyst will assist in providing comprehensive portfolio analysis and interpretation on core products across global investment strategies (across Equity, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Alternatives and Private Debt.

The role will focus on Investment Governance across the CIO Front Office, providing effective oversight of all funds. This will require preparation for the quarterly governance meetings by coordinating inputs for meeting packs, analysing the key drivers of risk and return, providing challenge and reviewing consistency of performance. The role will help to manage the oversight of the Investment Process review function, to help define how we review and drive improvement in our investment processes.

The CIO Front Office Analyst will also provide regular and insightful written fund and market commentary.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and provide thorough understanding of investment risk models, the drivers of market risk and the implications on product performance and attribution.
  • Assist in producing analysis on investments, using qualitative and quantitative tools.
  • Provide process oversight to ensure the application of robust, clear and consistent processes.
  • Support the Investment Process Oversight Group.
  • Ensure proliferation of investment analysis to the front office and senior management.
  • Liaise with regional offices to ensure successful implementation of the global investment themes and principles to ensure the front office remains symbiotic and well integrated.
  • Provide support to members of the global Investment team.
  • Support global investment projects.
 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A good understanding of risk sensitivities, modern portfolio theory and security analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good Understanding of the techniques in portfolio management, performance attribution, and understanding of financial markets.
  • Good academic records, preferably within finance or economics with CFA or equivalent an advantage.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with flexibility to accommodate changing environment and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
  • Excellent written skills, good verbal and communication skills.
  • Experience or ability to mentor / lead junior members within the team.
