GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general supervision, this position assists the providers in giving quality medical care to patients according to CIGNA standards and OSHA regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares patient to be seen by provider by taking vitals (height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, etc.). Assists provider with patient exams, minor surgeries, administering medications and injections. Communication between provider and patient regarding reason for visit, symptoms, etc. Update documentation in medical chart. Contact patients with lab results, follow-up appointments and referrals. Clean, disinfect and autoclave instruments. Clean and organize exam room, maintaining adequate supplies. Order medical charts through system and check for complete and accurate information.
Qualifications
Education: LPN Good communication and interpersonal skills required. 1-2 years back office experience preferred. LPN license required.
