This role requires full vaccination against COVID 19

This role is supporting Cigna Medical Group (CMG), the medical group practice division of Cigna Health Care of Arizona.

Clinical Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Participates in development of departmental goals.  Communicates and motivates staff to reach department and center specific goals
  • Participates in center management and goal develop as appropriate
  • Develops and implements plans for work design, patient flow, quality improvement, and team building as outlined in department and center goals.  Manages team to perform within established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Uses independent judgment in making departmental decision, developing policies and procedures, managing operational costs to budget, evaluating and implementing new programs, promoting customer relations, and employee satisfaction
  • Responsible for all aspects of employee relations including but not limited to performance management of all direct reports.  Demonstrates the ability to influence behaviors, creates an environment to motivate individuals and team
  • Maintains quality of care by monitoring productivity, complying with government regulations – Outpatient Treatment Center (OTC) regulations; Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA); Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and is responsible for implementing continuous quality improvement processes
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly reports related to metrics and other key initiatives as appropriate
  • Monitors departmental equipment to ensure daily repair or replacement.  Manages communication link and technical oversight with primary care facilities and contracted vendors
  • Manages appointment availability in area of responsibility and continually monitors workflows and schedules to maintain volumes to reach target numbers
  • Monitors and manages patient satisfaction in areas of responsibility
  • Monitors and manages departmental employee satisfaction
  • As part of the imaging team participates in development of organizational and department goals relating to capital planning and customer service
  • Maintains appropriate compliance to required governmental and regulatory agencies
  • Utilize appropriate knowledge and skills in maintaining effective departmental operations
  • Maintains skills in managing/monitoring current computer applications
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
  • Current CPR (BCLS)
  • Customer Service experience
  • Radiology Compliance and Regulatory knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years Radiology management experience
  • Experience managing 10 or more FTE’s

This role is Worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite. You must be fully vaccinated if you’re to come onsite OR undergo testing twice a week.
