Do you love diving into consumer tensions? Are you energized by the opportunity to translate insights into action that deliver measurable business results?  As an associate scientist co-op on our Project/Initiative P&G R&D Team in Cincinnati, OH you will use your technical curiosity, data analyses  and/or  technical method experience to mine multiple sources of data and translate complex results and/or algorithms into simple conclusions and insights.  These insights will have a meaningful influence on our business strategy and will enable our multi-functional retail and brand team to win with consumers and deliver sustainable results for our Company.

As an associate scientist co-op your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing an understanding of consumer groups with AI through data deep dive, experimentation, and business understanding
  • Designing learning plans and experiments to identify consumer tensions, potential product solutions, and methods to convey product benefits to the consumer
  • Demonstrating technical curiosity via prototyping, analytical laboratory equipment, and digital toolsets to understand business insights

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be a strong communicator & effective storyteller who possesses the ability to influence agreement with your recommendations
  • Have an ability to comprehend and interpret diverse types of data, from qualitative verbatims to analytical methods
  • Have a passion for understanding the people that use products and helping to solve their problems.
  • Be agile and flexible in your day to day work

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in related engineering curriculum (Junior or above in BME, ChE, or ME; other engineering majors considered)
  • Experience in courses related to product design (ie design lab)
  • Currently reside within commuting distance to the office or have the ability to relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio  â€“ generous relocation benefit provided

Preferred

  • Experience in courses related to user-oriented-design
  • Interest in CPG products, interest in medical devices
