Job Summary:

Provide leadership, development, support and motivation to direct reports, creating a positive environment that encourages ownership and accountability, and meets or exceeds business results. Create and develop unique food offerings that provide our Guest with a variety of selections.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, support and teach the role in the show cuisine concept
  • Partner with Receiving area / Stat Specialist (Focus on monthly inventory)
  • Leader of Leaders, inspire, provide direction and drive effectiveness of the Leadership Team
  • Develop Direct Reports as individuals and as a team by providing a work environment within which they excel
  • Hold Direct Reports accountable for job performance
  • Ensure operational compliance of Global WDW Standards, WDW Food & Beverage Standards, Loss Prevention Standards, with adherence to R.C.I.D. requirements, State of Florida DBPR and WDW Food Safety Standards
  • Possess keen business acumen to meet or exceed Business goals
  • Inspire the delivery of “World-Class” seamless guest experiences
  • Initiate and sustain mutually beneficial relationships and effective partnerships
  • Ensure excellent Cast experiences are delivered through Direct Reports
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Process for Cast, guest, and business results
  • Model professionalism, poise, self-assuredness and recognizes others for their contributions
  • Provide an environment in which the Diversity Business Case is attained
  • Identify, mediate or negotiate effective resolution to conflict
  • Ensure quality preparation and presentation of the restaurant’s food and beverage offerings through direct reports (SEE RATING TOOL)
  • Support synergy between lines of business
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Respond appropriately to special dietary needs
  • Support and drive location menu development
  • Ensure that products are properly ordered, received and stored
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities
  • Apply knowledge from Foundations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of culinary experience or culinary degree with three years’ experience
  • Minimum three years culinary management experience
  • Understand and demonstrate fundamentals of cooking
  • Computer savvy
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse Cast
  • Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule with variable shifts and days off in a rapid changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation
  • Demonstrate high energy level
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Knowledge of industry trends and practical business application
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wines and spirits/sommelier certification
  • Demonstrated experience in developing annual operating plans

Required Education

High School degree or equivalent
