About the role
To support the development and delivery of a strong channels eco-system as well as content strategy within the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team including activities supporting our company’s vision and values, growing our reputation, building a culture of community, inclusion, trust and engagement.
Working closely with the Head of Channels and other stakeholders of the wider team, this role is to lead on development, innovation and embedding our core corporate communication channels and championing them across our business.
Using data and insights, you will support colleagues and wider team with the adoption and engagement of our channels, driving the right channel approach to maximise our internal communications.
Building a network across key stakeholders including IT, People Technology leads, and our shareholder channel leads. You will be the go-to person for all our corporate channels and supporting the creation and delivery of our corporate channels strategy.

What We Need from You:
Essential Skills:
• Representing as a lead within the Channels, Content & Events team and working alongside the wider business on various projects; this role will include you being our principal community manager on Workplace with support of the wider team and building a network of advocates across the business with the aim of growing awareness and engagement.
• Leading on development, innovation and embedding our core corporate communication channels and championing them across our business. This role encompasses various channels such as: Workplace from Meta, Sideways6 ideation platform, The Bot Platform, Intranet Sharepoint Online, Poppulo email system, Swoop analytics, Corporate social across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, External microsite on Wordpress, and our news aggregator platform for social sharing for our people.
• Working with the leads from across the business, you’ll provide training, support and best practice on using our channels as well as support & integration of bots and ideation on Workplace. Leading the delivery of a new Virgin Media O2 intranet in SharePoint Online, leveraging Microsoft 365 and Workplace integrations. Work with the planning team to produce monthly and ad-hoc analytics in SWOOP.
• Maintain a holistic view of all the activity across our channels eco-system to ensure we are consistent and delivering an impact and contributing effectively.
• Implementation of our channels strategy through effective, compelling and engaging ideas using different platforms and integrations. Ensuring consistency and quality in all the output to support key business announcements, campaigns and alignment with overall objectives and our company goals.
• Being a trusted advisor to the team on channel and content relevance for different projects and targeted audiences to increase favourability and advocacy among both internal & external audiences.
• Understating different audiences through various channels with measurable goals, KPIs, and reporting accordingly.
• Working closely with our platform reps and external suppliers, ensuring we are impactful and delivering a meaningful comms across all our channels in an effective and efficient manner.
• In-depth knowledge, experience and management of channels such as SharePoint Online, Workplace by Meta and Poppulo and Wordpress.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied target audiences using different channels.
• Experience of leading platforms and integration across company such as new intranet rollout
• Good understanding of accessibility standards for online, Wordpress, SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
• Highly organised to manage the workload and adaptable to changing plans and needs
• Proactive, hands-on, able to drive relationships with stakeholders and possess strong influencing skills.
• Preferable skill set of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Indesign and Illustrator.
