Customer Delivery Installer Trainee

Starting rate £12.50 p/h (£26,741 - £34,700)

Our installation specialists are the face of the John Lewis & Partners brand. As a Partner in a unique business you will promote the Partnership brand through a professional and courteous manner to other road users. 

Delivering excellent customer service in line with the John Lewis proposition by aiding in the delivery, assembly and installation of products in the customer\'s premises following the planned route.

 

What\'s the role about:

When you join the team at our starting rate or above, you will be a fully qualified driver on full pay. You will embark on the John Lewis & Partners Installer accreditation to become a fully qualified Customer Delivery Installer, After successful completion of the course you  will move to the role of Installer which has a salary band of £28,800 - £37,500pa.

What you will be doing:

Your typical day may involve using your local knowledge to plan your schedule for the day ahead, demonstrating a passion for delivering our products safely and driving our vehicles efficiently. Handling complex installations in customer’s homes whilst acting as an ambassador for the John Lewis brand, you will focus on delivering a consistently exemplary service in line with our customers expectations. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own learning and self development and play an active role in a forum to help shape the direction of your department. 

Required Qualifications:

• A valid C1 Driving Licence (with a maximum of 6 points)

• Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)

• Drivers Qualification Card (DQC)

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

Essential Experience:

• Proven Customer Service background

• Driving Experience

• Strong verbal communication skills both over the phone and face to face

• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (you will spend a lot of time delivering large two man items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds and mattresses etc…..)

 

Desirable Experience:

• Good local geographical knowledge

• Instillation and disconnection of white goods

• TV installations

• Assembly of flat packs

• IT Skills
