JOB TITLE: CB ACCESS ENGINEER
Job Duties: Lead complex projects for the team by creating and improving processes. Provides routine technology analysis and troubleshooting on assigned segments of networked telecommunications systems. Performs analysis & reporting of operational measurement data from traffic sensitive network elements to identify future network-capacity needs. Analyze network vulnerabilities and develop plan of action to minimize risks. Evaluates/selects new network equipment and emerging technologies to support future growth, features and reliability. Prepares cost estimates to deliver multiple services across the Cox Network; including most complex. Develop and maintain detailed network designs and documentation in Granite, including method of procedure and engineering specifications. Work with customers on integration of complex circuits such as BGP, EPLAN, EVPLAN, prepare technical specifications, development, and integration of peripheral systems involving multiple telecommunications technologies supporting voice, video, data and other information.
Work Schedule: 40 hrs/wk, Mon-Fri, (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.)

Qualifications:
Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, as a Network Engineer or related. The employer will accept three (3) years of university level study plus two (2) years of work experience to meet the Bachelor's degree requirement. Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: Proficient use of tools, namely, Optix, Granite, IPControl, and Solarwinds; Develops and executes network designs in Granite for our Products; and, Creation of BOMs (equipment orders/Bill of Material). Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
