The LEGO Group is looking for innovative and collaborative Category Manager to be part of our pioneering journey towards a new way of working in the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE).

This is a permanent role based in our office in Billund, Denmark or London, United Kingdom.

Core Responsibilities:

• Responsible for executing procurement operational activities to support the global Procurement teams:

o Supplier on-boarding - supplier risk assessments and on-boarding actions

o Contract record management - Contract updates and contract data integrity, supporting Procurement teams to cleanse data as required

o Content management - Support category teams in creating/maintaining global catalogues/requisition forms (in Coupa)

• Required to be the Procurement system (Coupa) experts, providing technical/functional support to Procurement teams, business stakeholders and suppliers

• Responsible for optimizing processes for operational activities as required

• Support development of process maps and training content

Additional scope in the future may include:

• E-sourcing - Creation and execution of e-RFx, e-Auctions and advanced sourcing processes (Coupa CSO)

• Tail spend management – Responsible for management of transactional spend/suppliers

Procurement Transformation is a global team and is part of the Global Procurement team that is centre-led and function-driven, fully integrated into the LEGO Groups’ systems and processes that connect the overall business strategy & requirements with the global product categories and regional procurement teams.

The Procurement organisation is mainly based across the LEGO® hubs and sites; Billund, Singapore, Shanghai, Enfield, London, Shenzhen, and in other manufacturing locations: Czech Republic, Hungary, China and Mexico.

The Category Manager, Procurement Transformation reports to the Director, Procurement Transformation. The outcomes that this role has implications for evolving procurement ways of working for procurement employees of the company.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for candidates with 3 – 5 years’ corporate experience, ideally in a Procurement/Finance environment with an understanding of Procurement processes and responsibilities. You have experience working with E-procurement systems preferably Coupa, e-sourcing, raising PO’s and creating suppliers and conducting risk assessments.

In addition, we expect that you have:

• Good stakeholder management skills gained from Procurement or Finance environment and the ability to partner across the organization to support Procurement priorities

• Capacity to thrive in a fast – paced, challenging and unpredictable environment

• Good sense of prioritization, organizational skills, and time management and the ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

As an individual, you are well-organized and analytical, confident in building and maintaining partnerships, highly motivated with can-do attitude, and able to navigate ambiguity.
