Job Description

As a Fraser’s group employee, you will be part of one of the UKs fastest growing retailers. You will be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of  the retail estate in your area alongside the Retail Operations Manager. Your key focus will be to maximise sales and showroom profitability paying particular attention to maintaining and building on customer service and operational standards, maximising brand image, enhancing team development and providing inspirational leadership and support to the teams within your remit.

JOB DESCRIPTION

•Meet and exceed sales targets and increase profitability across your area

•Analyse all reports and commercial information available to make improvements to the performance of stores

•Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the full range of commercial metrics (CR, AOV, sales targets, footfall, etc)

•Understand fully the omni-channel nature of the business and all associated sales channels and functions, and strive to optimise this omni-channel capacity throughout your area

•Ensure all controllable costs are managed and minimised, ensuring all expenditure is necessary and justified 

•Lead & support the Showroom teams through regular communication, circulating best practice and lessons learnt to improve overall business performance 

•Inspire and lead the Showroom Managers to ensure impeccable standards are established and maintained in all stores across all channels, including administration, housekeeping, systems and operational procedures

•Conduct regular checklists providing constructive feedback to both the showroom manager and ASM, and agree future action plans, ensure focus stores are visited as a priority

•Work with each showroom to ensure Managers are aware of their top sellers/slow sellers and are using the information to maximise sales

•Provide feedback to management and VM manager on the merchandising standards in store, highlighting opportunities and development areas

•Support the managers to deliver consistent, impeccable VM standards in line with company guidelines and expectations

•Work alongside the VM team on implementation of key events, ensuring all showroom promotions

•Nurture and develop a culture of exceptional customer service by ensuring that all teams adhere to company guidelines and expectations as laid out in the training guides

•Communicate professionally, clearly and effectively both verbally and in written work

•Remain open minded and responsive to the views of others, demonstrating active listening skills

•Tackle potentially challenging situations constructively and professionally

•Conduct 4–6-week progress meetings and reviews, as well as annual appraisals for all showroom managers to drive and encourage individual performance

•Work with the Showroom Managers to resolve any HR issues that may arise and support on any recruitment requirements

•Act as a role model and brand ambassador, consistently leading by example to set the standard in all areas by building strong and professional relationships with each manager, providing leadership, guidance and support through regular store visits

•Promote an open and supportive culture and actively encourage ideas and suggestions by motivating and inspiring your teams and encourage and recognise outstanding team performance 

•Demonstrate an interest in the Company’s objectives and performance, and support the business’ strategy through effective teamwork

•Be proactive in acquiring an excellent understanding of how the different parts of the business work and use this knowledge to constructively challenge and improve your own and the department’s performance

•Liaise with wider stakeholders across Frasers Group ensuring open communication and alignment on both short and long-term business initiatives, workflow and expectations

•Act with integrity and loyalty to the company and its principles, always having the Company’s best interests in mind 

•Ensure all showrooms are adhering to the company H&Sguidelines and legislation  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within retail preferably interiors

•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

•A background that will not only prove you know how to increase sales and profits, control costs and stock loss, but also that you’ve managed senior managers

•Proven track record of internal progression and development

•Excellent leadership and decision-making skills

•Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

•A confident decision maker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•An aspiration for continuous improvement

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office & good computer skills

•Knowledge of HR systems and procedures
