What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out day to day maintenance and repairs around the centres. This can include general labouring and site works along with painting and decorating, plumbing and joinery
  • Carrying out routine checks of building heating and lighting operating systems and ensuring these are set and monitored
  • Carrying out inspections of safety systems such as fire alarms, firefighting equipment, emergency lighting and water temperatures ensuring these are recorded as per the compliance process
  • Liaising with contractors and overseeing work to ensure compliance with safety policies and acceptable working practices are being adhered to and tasks are being completed as specified
  • Following the health and safety procedures and agreed safe working practices
  • Maintaining adequate levels of cleaning consumables and equipment and distributing these around the sites

What we’re looking for:

  • Awareness of Health & Safety is essential
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Experience of completing and reporting safety checks
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Good practical skills, experience around maintenance and building compliance
  • Experience of painting and decorating to a high standard with certified competence
  • Experience in maintenance and skilled minor repair/development works to premises and plant
  • Ability to work own initiative as well as within a team
  • Good understanding of IT software’s such as Microsoft programs
