Last year, we announced that the program has a STEM focus in addition to business which made a significant impact to the program. P&G has a particular interest in STEM given our reliance on a highly skilled STEM workforce – like engineers, scientists, IT experts, innovators – to drive innovation that powers our brands and grows our business. We are driven by innovation, everywhere from the product & packaging, across the supply chain and all the way to media, advertising and selling.

The Careers in Business and STEM Initiative apprenticeships are designed to give top students immersive experiences in a culture where diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking are valued and included to make a significant impact from Day 1.

Careers in Business and STEM Initiative Apprentices play a critical role in performing tasks that are a match with your skills, have a real "hands-on" experience and "own" significant responsibilities. From Day 1, as a key member of a business and technical team, you are responsible for managing and executing key projects.

Meaningful Work on Day 1

You will be a part of the P&G team where you will join a family of P&G's globally recognized brands, working in various functions such as Brand Management, Communications, Consumer Market Knowledge, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Product Supply, and Research & Development. You will receive training, coaching and formal performance reviews provided by experienced managers. In addition, you will have an opportunity to meet former Apprentices from local high schools and be a part of social and community service activities.

YOUR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Business writing
  • Leading resolution on critical business issues, using data, and making recommendations
  • Interact and working across multi-functional project teams
  • Flowing to the work
  • Lab work
  • Working effectively with others.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will be a high school senior.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Capable of working independently
  • Able to follow through on task
  • Experience working with word, PowerPoint, excel and Outlook is helpful but not mandatory
  • Be a leader in your school or community
  • Good academic record
  • Intend to continue your education
  • Desire to learn more about business and STEM opportunities before entering college
  • Effective Communication

High school seniors who meet the above qualifications could be invited to participate in a telephone screening interview

Following the screening interview, we will select participants to attend P&G Interview Day. Apprenticeships will be offered based on results from all interviews.

TIMELINE OF APPLICATION PROCESS :

  • Application period Oct -January 4th, 2022
  • Initial interview (by telephone) starts November and thru January 6th.
  • Candidates which are successful with the initial interview will be contacted mid-January for Career Day Interviews (includes two in-person interviews)
  • Career Day Interviews first week of February
  • Candidates which are successful with their final interviewers will be contacted by email with a written Offer letter the third week of February
  • Candidate will be given a 2-week decision time for accepting/declining offer by the first week of March
  • Candidates which accept the offer – must complete contingencies during the months of March and April
  • Placement will be determined for area of the Company where the new hire will officially work, early May.
  • CIBSI apprentices start date June 6, 2021
