Job Description

Agile Coaching works with multiple teams to determine their current level of agile maturity, and develops plans to improve agile processes and increase the productivity of the agile team accordingly. Assists agile teams with: Creating and maintaining collaborative communication sites and tools; Chartering boot camps, and other intensive trainings as required; and, refining implementation of agile best practices and tools. Provides expert coaching to key agile roles as required. Assists with the identification, collection and reporting of agile practice metrics and measurements. Organizes and participates in agile events, contributes to communication sites/tools, and delivers presentations to Stakeholders across the organization. Identifies and works to resolve barriers to scaling use of agile. Helps teams create “working agreements” to ensure proper communication and coordination occurs; where useful, these will be drafted at the time of team formation and updated as needed.  The incumbent provides counsel and advice to top management on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex assignments. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct coaching to multiple product/service teams by assessing level of maturity, establishing and implementing best practices, and developing continuous improvement cycles to drive increased productivity.  Identification, collection and reporting of standardized and consistent metrics and measurements 

  • Acts as a Change Agent, analyzing processes and determining improvements by suggesting optimization of workflows, assess reporting and metrics available to teams and ongoing daily/monthly reports utilizing fit-for-purpose guidelines.  Ensures consistency with enterprise data standards (JIRA/Rally/etc). Facilitates a working culture of accepting and learning from failure with a bias towards action and/or correction. Dedicated to serving the long term development of effectiveness.  

  • Facilitates critical thinking and decision making within the individual or small group setting. Healthy curiosity with ability to set aside preconceived ideas.  

  • Provide feedback on opportunities for training improvements.   

  • Development and delivery of training materials on company products, processes, technologies, and methodologies in a group setting.  Orientation and training on new course materials while identifying appropriate training aids.  

  • Reviews course evaluations in order to judge effectiveness of training sessions and opportunities for improvements.

  • Ability to conceive, plan and deliver learning objectives in a highly structured environment  

 

This role is Flex/WFHwhich allows most work to be performed at homeor on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees mustbe fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
