Basic Accountability Statement:

The CAD drafter II shall be responsible for maintenance of dxf files and nested plot files for wood CNC cutters and CNC fabric cutter.  The position is responsible for maintaining dxf files for suppliers such as upholstery foam.   The position also assists with 2D print updates from Engineering Change Requests.  This requires updating the 3D model in NX.   The candidate will work with internal and external suppliers to develop high-quality documentation and maintain production documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete scheduled assignments and tasks in a timely manner.
• Work with internal and external customers to develop high-quality documentation.  
• Direct involvement in the prototype development and documentation.

• Accurate & concise documentation that meets engineering and business standards.
• Support the maintenance of each program Bill of Material for sheet and rolled goods.
• Assist with Engineering Changes for current product enhancements.

• Create new and revised documentation using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Willing to take on tasks outside of his/her job description as needed to assist in meeting department goals.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Understanding of the boat building process preferred.

• Knowledge of production areas and product line preferred.
• Computer aided design experience required (Siemens NX or equivalent parametric modeling software preferred).
• 3-D solid and surface modeling skills desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to maintain organized files within Microsoft operating system.
• Ability to use small hand tools, both electrical and air powered.
• Ability to climb in and out of boats using a step ladder.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
• Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Able to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
• Must be willing to travel (5% minimum).
