Basic Accountability Statement:

The CAD Technician shall be responsible for assisting Engineering Team in the design, detailing and maintenance of 3D CAD models for all aspects of development projects from styling through full production support. The candidate will work to develop high-quality documentation and new products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of documentation for manufacturing, parts, Owners Manuals, and customer service. Review all documentation for accuracy and compliance to standards. Gather as-built information to ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Complete assigned documentation tasks in a timely manner.
• Apply established drawing standards and best practices to create accurate & concise documentation that meets engineering and business requirements.
• Create new and revised documentation for all new products using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Assist with departmental continuous improvement efforts and look for creative ways to solve common problems.
• Willing to take on tasks outside of his/her job description as needed to assist in meeting department goals.
• Consults PD&E to become familiar with product use, features, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Writes and updates material for manuals and related technical publications
• Maintain existing computer model to "as built" to ensure the accuracy of engineering where necessary to facilitate assist in the development of documentation and future development from model.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in CAD Drafting, Engineering, or equivalent field preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in marine product design preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with Siemens NX. Drafting required.
• 3D solid and surface modeling skills with Siemens NX desirable.
• Siemens Teamcenter PLM software experience strongly desired. PLM experience is required.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications required.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow provided instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
