ROLE
At Amazon, we are going through an exciting period of growth. That’s precisely why we’re seeking a Buyer to join our Fulfilment Centre (FC) team. These state of the art facilities sit at the core of the entire business: they are where we manage our fast-moving inventory, fulfil hundreds of thousands of orders each day, and exceed customer expectations.

The Buyer acts as the first escalation point for Procurement related queries and provides guidance to the Fulfilment Centre with all aspects of Non-Inventory Procurement. The role’s key responsibilities will include:

· Work in full compliance and adherence with the company Spending and Transaction policy, educating and guiding the correct behaviours of business stakeholders
· Liaise with suppliers to negotiate and secure value for money on a full range of non-inventory goods and services
· Build effective stakeholder relationships, ensuring a high service level in terms of quotations, quality compliance and lead times for local projects

  • Conduct sourcing events for requirements at a site and a UK level
  • Identify savings opportunities and partner with Business Owners to deliver savings through tenders, negotiations and contract renewals
  • Assist a variety of internal stakeholders with procure to pay tasks for a variety of internal stakeholders
  • Implementation and maintenance of Amazon internal e-catalogues
  • Train internal stakeholders on internal Procurement tools and processes
  • Utilise multiple applications and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and data
  • Work Order and Master Supply Agreement creation and execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Fluency in English *C1, C2
· Previous experience in Procurement, including sourcing and negotiation
· Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle and/or Coupa)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Must be highly self-motivated and customer-centric with very strong communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ minimum professional experience in
Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts Management or equivalent role
· E · Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ professional experience in Procurement
· CIPS qualifications (or working towards)
Supplier relationship management experience
