Job Purpose and Impact
The Buyer I will be responsible for country or multicountry sourcing routine activities. In this role, you will join our North America Plant Materials and Services Buying team that obtains goods and services required by the organization. We seek a professional with general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards to help get products from suppliers to customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute medium complex requests for sourcing process.
- Drive tracking of data to stay informed on price trends, market dynamics, industry innovation and best practices.
- Monitor performance of suppliers and support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives to develop/strengthen strategic partnerships with top suppliers
- Build and apply a comprehensive understanding of the subcategory and supply base; compile and analyze statistical data to resolve feasibility of buying products and established price objectives.
- Follow established sourcing procedures to select suppliers for procurement of non-contracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
- Will dedicate up to 30% of your time as a flex buyer, executing capex packages
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in English
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related degree program
- Familiar with Business Analytics Tools (GEP), Ariba eSourcing and Contracts, Ariba Procure to X, SAP, PowerBI.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of procurement systems, P2P Processes, and purchasing strategies.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams of sourcing, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and execute category and capital sourcing projects
