The Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) group is a newly formed directorate within UKEF. The Directorate is formed of over 60 staff, and headed up by a Director of DDaT who is supported by three Deputy Directors.
The teams that comprise the DDaT directorate have gone though a period of change and significant improvements have been delivered over the last 24 months. We have put in place a structure that we believe will drive the next stage of the group’s evolution, and ensure our DDaT teams proactively play a more central role in how we run our business, and engage with our customers.
Our ambition is that the DDaT directorate will be a fast-paced environment, focusing on delivering user-centred products and services for our internal and external users. The fully agile teams will be closely aligned to the Governments Service Standard and Technology Code of Practice and play a pivotal role in the delivery of UKEF’s Mission and Objectives.
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of bespoke software for UKEF including technical design, software creation, testing and implementation.
The person appointed to this role will join our Development team. UKEF has a dynamic and ambitious technical strategy which will see development in four key areas
i) Development of our Web Presence, currently on a Drupal/PHP platform, through use of a microservice strategy, supported by MuleSoft API Management
ii) Rationalisation of and an increased focus on integration between all our systems using MuleSoft API Management
iii) Continued development of our K2-based workflow/forms applications for internal processes
iv) Implementation of an Automated Test Framework
• Development of business applications including technical impact assessments for changes required by the business.
• Technical design for new developments, determining the appropriate approach for new applications and their relationship to existing environments and other systems.
• Support and enhancement of existing applications.
• Administration and maintenance of environments.
• Provide advice and guidance to projects on the potential use of applications, development approaches, tools and 3rd party components. Investigation of issues resulting from the use of 3rd party tools.
• Unit testing including the investigation and resolution of defects identified user acceptance testing.
• Support and training for end users.

To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. If you do not meet this requirement, you would not be eligible for SC clearance and therefore not eligible to apply for this role.
