WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Business Systems Analyst will join Abbott’s dynamic Information Governance & Records (“IGRâ€) group and support the management of Abbott data throughout its lifecycle, while working to enhance IGR maturity across the enterprise.  The position reports to the Manager Information Governance Technology and interacts with data management stakeholders across the BTS and Legal functions, as well as diverse business groups.Â

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides functional expertise for IGR systems, including establishing and maintaining system-specific documentation and operational procedures.
- Participates in reviewing governance information for new data sources for archiving. Designs/administers processes and controls for tracking governance activities throughout the data archival lifecycle.
- Primary point of contact with individuals across the organization regarding importing electronic records into Abbott’s records information management system (RIMS).
- Oversees regular ongoing electronic records imports to RIMS. Primary point of contact with managed services resources who execute the imports.
- Conducts training for new RIMS users and helps to design training materials.
- Maintains detailed tracking of activities related to the decommissioning of legacy data repositories.
- Provides support with the IGR team’s ticketing system, ensuring queries are resolved/escalated in a timely manner.
- Executes on and completes tasks associated with strategic projects.
- Review/approve Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) assessments for information systems for records management compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Information Systems or Business Administration or BA/BS in another discipline with equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in software systems including enterprise systems, databases, infrastructure, networks, and other technical domains.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft O365 (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, macros) is preferable.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of processes, frameworks, and technologies.
- Strong time management, organizational and priority setting skills.
- Ability to adapt readily to change in routine and to work across multiple areas.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and concisely across organization levels and build effective working relationships.
