Job Purpose and Impact
The Protein North America (CPNA) Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for managing the overarching portfolio of investments, business strategy, roadmap and defining the demand for IT services in line with their Process, Technology and Data (PDT) strategies. This position will partner within Global IT to effectively deliver IT services and solutions to Protein and for and related businesses. In addition, this position will also be the strategic leader and primary Go-to-Market face of Global IT for the CPNA strategic stakeholders to ensure adequate identification of the demand of IT services to execute the enterprise and business group strategies. This role will work with other CPNA BRMs to ensure that the overarching financial portfolio is managed through our CPNA checkbook and monthly scorecard to track the Global IT support and delivery of services. This role will also cover Global IT’s stakeholder management for keeping the CPNA checkbook up to date, assist in managing strategic initiatives, Innovation, Portfolio Management, Demand Management and will work closely with the CPNA business partners. This role will provide coaching and feedback to other Business Relationship Managers working directly within CPNA. Overall, this position ensures client satisfaction at the Protein level is met, including strategy planning and portfolio management, business partnering, relationship & service management, and people management.
Key Accountabilities
- Serves as the main point of contact for CPNA business leaders and Global IT to connect all the dots across initiatives within their portfolio.
- Promotes collaboration across the IT service delivery teams and the BRMs in order to provide first-class IT services to the business as one Global IT organization.
- Drives integration across processes, technology, and data for all solutions defined for the portfolio of services and solutions in the Functions.
- Acts as a strategic counselor and advisor within the Protein Enterprise to ensure a successful introduction of new solutions, technologies, and applications to enable functional processes. Aligns all solutions with the EA framework.
- Defines and drives the portfolio governance of IT initiatives, investments, prioritization, services, and solutions.
- Applies deep understanding of business partnering practices and procedures in leading the definition and execution of effective IT demand. Develops a deep understanding of BUs processes, pain points, needs, etc.
- Discovers project opportunities and their overall concept, scope, sponsorship, and value opportunity. Partners with IT internal/external suppliers to search for an adequate solution. Removes obstacles in order to move the work forward.
- Partners with business and Global IT to manage demand, investment, and divestiture decisions within the portfolio, and scorecard/reporting of the portfolio through PowerBI, Clarizen, Apptio, and Salesforce.
- Enter and manage small works into Clarizen while keeping records up to date and audits with PMs.
- Assist in EDI intake process escalations and small works.
- Assist in MI Process and historical tracking for reporting.
- Create critical site dashboard and manage CPNA plant spreadsheet.
- Coordinate/Clean up Microsoft Licensing and Beekeeper activities.
- Assist in special projects and management of small works.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in MIS, Business or equivalent experience
- 5 years of IT or related experience within process, data and technology functions
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills in the areas of strategic planning and decision making, navigating ambiguity, and building trusting relationships
- Experience with Portfolio Management.
- Ability to act as a strategic advisor to business leadership to guide investment decisions utilizing PowerBI, Clarizen, Apptio and Salesforce.
- Financial acumen. Ability to manage the creation and delivery of IT budgets. Working knowledge of NPV, ROGI, etc.
- Ability to define and user metrics (scorecards, trend analysis, etc)
- Demonstrated strong business acumen. Ability to identify and anticipate business needs, expectations and requirements for technology-based solutions. Demonstrated success in proactively solving business-related problems.
- Drive for results. Ability to complete initiatives through Cargill Global IT and 3rd party vendors.
- Exceptional skills in presenting to all levels of leadership in large group settings as well as one-on-one interactions with Platform, BU and functional leaders. Communicates with impact. Strength in synthesizing complex issues in a succinct and clear manner.
- Demonstrated interpersonal savvy capabilities relates well to all kinds of people, builds appropriate rapport, ability to obtain results through influence and collaboration.
- Ability to translate data, process and technology concepts into business terms.
- Ability to travel up to 15% to Wichita and plants as needed
- Ability to speak English fluently both in verbal and written format to be able to effectively communicate abstract, conceptual information in an effective manner
Prior Beneficial Experiences
- Experience with capturing the valueof ERP / supply chain systems.
- Experience working with Internal and External IT service provider.
- Experience in managing and navigating politics across a crossmatrixed environment
- Experience in managing executive-level relationships
- Experience in business process analysis and design
- Understanding of six sigma or like disciplines
