Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Market and industry research, competitive value proposition development, and case study collection/development to support Government leaders in their development of customers and partners. 
  • Pulling the data together, conducting analysis and preparing presentations to be delivered to diverse audiences to senior leaders and decision makers. 
  • Build and develop partnership across Microsoft organizations, leveraging other teams' expertise and knowledge of the Government market .
  • Contributing to the setting of the Government offering strategy and motion while working to ensure alignment and collaboration with the other WW Public Sector teams. 
  • Contributes to or leads a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for complex programs.
  • Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. 
  • Works with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design compliant, complex programs from initiation to delivery with minimal coaching. Produces collateral (e.g., proposals, strategy walking deck, internal and external pitch content) to incorporate stakeholder needs and ensure the business objectives are met. 
  • Providing business value services, including business cases, digital envisioning services, benefits analysis, and other business planning activities in support of modernization and digital transformation customer scenarios. 
  • Support the Government team’s participation in our Worldwide Communities' ecosystem and knowledge exchange helping us to drive a robust and active community approach centered on both technology and industry.  

Qualifications

  • Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 3+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement 
    OR equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in Public Treasury and Budget planning and management is a must .
  • Experience working in or working with the government or military. 
  • Ability to conduct the research to understand and capitalize on industry and market trends, customer requirements and Microsoft priorities in support of special projects. 
  • Ability to drive Financial Analysis, build financial and commercial business case for resources and investments.
  • Experience in preparing responses to RFI/RFPs in ICT field, cloud computing is a plus 
    Solid communications skills, verbal, written and presentation. 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and PowerBI 
    Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to manage through ambiguous scenarios .
  • Additional languages are an advantage. 
  • Undergraduate technical degree, or equivalent experience.

BUSINESS ACUMEN 

  • Strong Business development, Market development and sales skills.
  • Proven track record of solution sales or consulting in a competing or partner company.
  • Executive communications, engagement, and influence.
  • Strategic leadership with track record driving results faster than competition in new markets/solution areas (preferred: cloud services growth).
  • Knowledge of and application (preferred) of design thinking techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of the Microsoft Industry offerings and partner ecosystem.
