What role will you play as a member of the Colgate's Information Technology team? 

As Business Process Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and working with application developers in Python, Reactjs(optional), MySQL or Postgres, Javascript (React´s is preferable) open source development and more. This person will drive improvements in performance, security, maintainability and scalability of our applications. This team is a group of innovators and technologists that love to learn and collaborate. Together, you'll use a disciplined, innovative and a business focused approach to develop a wide variety of high-quality products and solutions in the area of Finance. As Business Process Analyst, your mission is to help our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your knowledge of design, development process, coding, and testing will help our team raise their game, meeting standards as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Study and transform data science prototypes, design machine learning systems

  • Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools

  • Develop machine learning applications according to requirements

  • Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods

  • Run machine learning tests and experiments

  • Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results

  • Train and retrain systems when necessary

  • Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks

  • Design, develop, and maintain a global data warehouse and analytics architecture to enable self service business analysis, reporting needs, and data science initiatives

  • Define how the data is stored, consumed, coordinated and led by different data entities and IT systems.

 

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • You have at least 2 - 3 years of experience in a Data science

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to write robust code in Python, Java and R

  • Higher degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or another quantitative discipline is a plus

  • Experience with cloud data warehousing/Big data environments like Snowflakes, Bigquery, Google cloud storage etc is a plus

  • Previous experience with Predictive and ML models in Financials/Consumer goods industry is a plus

  • Experience with RDBMS; NoSQL experience also encouraged

  • Familiarity with agile software development methodology

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn) either / or

  • Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets. either / or

  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata to support physical models for an enterprise
